The problem

Policies lived in five different file shares and nobody trusted which version was current. New hires spent their first weeks asking where things were.

The solution

Designed an information architecture around how staff actually look for things, then built a SharePoint Online intranet with department hubs, a managed-metadata policy library, a news feed and a custom search experience built with SPFx web parts.

Results

• 60% faster time-to-find for documents (measured in staff surveys)
• One source of truth for 300+ policies, with approval workflows
• Adopted by 2,000 staff in the first month
